PB21000 SERIES

FEP

Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) is a melt-processable copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and hexafluoropropylene (HFP).

A variety of FEP materials with different melt viscosity are available by modifying the percentage of HFP. FEP offers the same excellent combination of properties characteristic of PTFE such as non-aging characteristics, chemical inertness, exceptional dielectric properties, low flammability, heat resistance, toughness and flexibility, low coefficient of friction, non-stick characteristics, and negligible moisture absorption.

However, FEP is softer than PTFE. FEP is highly transparent and has excellent weather resistance, especially to UV. PB21000 materials meet the requirements of ASTM D2116 Type III and Type IV, which are the grades with the lowest melt flow rates and most suitable for compression molding.
